Community Resource Bank is a financial services provider for families and businesses with locations in Northfield, Cannon Falls and Roseville, Minn. They have a longstanding tradition of community engagement and local support for many different causes, including education, community development, human services, the arts and the environment. This is the second year the bank has served as the event’s Presenting Sponsor, and this year it will be the official Starting Line Sponsor.
Denny Hanson, President and CEO of Community Resource Bank, stated, “Community Resource Bank knows that ‘working together’ makes things happen in a community. Helping Northfield Shares succeed is one of those multipliers that helps support the quality of life we have grown to respect in Northfield. This run/walk is an event that is both fun and provides dollars to the community that they would not get without the joint efforts of community partners. We are a proud supporter of the Defeat of Jesse James Days Run/Walk.”
This is ALDI’s second year as a top sponsor and its first year in the Presenting Sponsor role. ALDI will serve as this year’s official Finish Line and Food Court Sponsor. A leader in the grocery retailing industry since 1976, ALDI operates nearly 1,800 U.S. stores in 35 states. ALDI believes support should be based on the needs of each individual community, which can range from product and monetary donations to staff volunteering, to collaborations with nonprofit organizations.
“Being a smarter grocer means more than just providing high-quality products at low prices; it means helping to build strong communities and contributing to a better world,” says Matt Lilla, Vice President for Aldi. “As we’re dedicated to funding and sponsoring local and regional initiatives that support health and wellness activities for children and youth, the Defeat of Jesse James Days Run/Walk was a natural fit. We’re excited to play a larger role in this event and in helping make a greater impact in Northfield.”
Mike Krance, Northfield Shares executive director, added, “Northfield Shares is honored and grateful to have two well respected brands like Community Resource Bank and ALDI as this year’s Presenting Sponsors. Community Resource Bank brings longstanding leadership in community involvement in the Northfield area, and they’re a perfect fit as the official Starting Line Sponsor. ALDI, although still relatively new to the Northfield community, has attracted a loyal customer base for its affordable grocery offerings during the past year, and they’re natural fit as our Finish Line and Food Court Sponsor. These community leaders are helping Northfield Shares build a top-notch run/walk event that will enable our organization to continue its daily work of making Northfield a better place to live, work and play.”
In addition to Community Resource Bank’s and ALDI’s Presenting Sponsorships, this year’s Gold Sponsors include Armory Square, Cannon Valley Veterinary Clinic, Carleton College, KYMN Radio, Neuger Communications Group, Northfield News and Sage Glass.
