Volunteers Help Meet Basic Needs Through Meals On Wheels

Meals on Wheels delivers to five different routes, seven days a week, totaling nearly 300 meals each week.  Each route takes about 45 minutes, stopping every few minutes to deliver meals and let community members know the community cares.  During this pandemic meals are even more important, and while conversations are few and far between, volunteers are happy to provide this necessary service and look forward to when they can spend a few minutes catching up with community members on the Meals on Wheels routes again.  Volunteer organizer Jean Callister-Benson is working with ten wonderful volunteer teams of individuals and families to continue the important work of Meals on Wheels during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Thank you to current and past Meals on Wheels volunteers!
