Rippley’s Donate Lead Gift
In appreciation for their lead gift to the Share in Northfield’s Future Fund, Lavern and Barbara Rippley were presented a painting titled Community Intersecting, by local artist Wendell Arneson. The painting, one of eight commissioned pieces, was done in reflection of the 2019 Northfield Shares a Dinner. The paintings depict Division Street in downtown Northfield. They were painted in such a way that the top and bottom of the painting can be reversed and both orientations are correct. With their intersecting lines, one sees how multiple perspectives and intersections of businesses, non-profits, and individuals strengthen our community.
With the Rippley’s generous gift, and many others, Northfield Shares will be granting dollars to area nonprofits so they can continue to offer programming and services to our community in the future. Thank you Lavern and Barbara Rippley!
