Our Community: Stronger Together

Northfield Shares is grounded in the three pillars of our mission, and during this unprecedented time, it is our hope that these pillars will resonate and be demonstrated throughout our community and its response to the COVID-19 outbreak.  Just as Northfield Shares a Dinner brought our community together last August, we believe that Northfield will again band together with a common goal to remain a strong and thriving community, in the midst of spatial distancing, closures and uncertainty.  Our Community is and will continue to be filled with generous, talented, creative, thoughtful, energetic, optimistic and community-minded individuals. Together we will become a stronger community through this challenging time.

We Encourage Philanthropy – We encourage everyone, as you are able, to support our local organizations and programs who will deliver services to those directly and indirectly impacted by COVID-19.  You can make gifts to funds such as:

We want to Inspire Volunteerism – As always, Northfielders don’t disappoint! Thank you for your calls, emails, Facebook posts and willingness to volunteer.  We are working with the appropriate organizations and leadership in Northfield to ensure SAFETY first for both you as a volunteer and the recipients of your offered help. When we know how to best utilize willing volunteers, you will hear from us. If volunteers are needed, we’ll post information on our website. As for now, #StayHome is the best way to help!

However, Three Links, Millstream Commons, and the Northfield Retirement Community are looking for letters to share with residents who have been cut off from their usual visitors. Your letters will remain anonymous (due to HIPAA regulations) and will be quarantined before sharing. If you would like to jot a note to these folks mailing information is below.

We support Collaborative Leadership – Northfield Shares, along with many other organizations in Northfield, is currently and will continue to, work together to provide guidance, resources & volunteers to those in need now and into the future. Be safe. Be smart and THANK YOU for continuing to make Northfield the community it is!
