Making A Difference One Boomerang Bag At A Time

Back in 2017 Kathy Ness discovered Boomerang Bags!  The creative idea to eliminate the use of single use plastic bags originated in Australia and has now expanded to include over 300 Boomerang Bag groups around the world.  Kathy has worked with volunteers to collect donated fabric, organized Boomerang Bees to make the reusable bags, and partnered with local groups to create the bags at little or no cost.  So far Northfield volunteers have sewn over 4,000 Boomerang Bags!  Thank you, Kathy, for caring for our planet and inspiring our community to do the same!

Kathy Ness, right, organizes the making of Boomerang Bags.
