With a Master’s in Music from Eastman School of Music, Anne spent 40 years on the faculty at Carleton College, where she served as Dye Family Professor of Music and co-chair of the music department. Throughout her career, Anne inspired a love for music in students, colleagues, and neighbors alike, earning her a beloved place in Northfield’s heart.

The Anne B. Mayer Fund for Music honors her lifelong commitment to fostering creativity and community through music. This fund will support music-related programs across Northfield, creating accessible opportunities for all ages to experience the joy and connection music brings.
