Nonprofit Wish List

One way to participate in Northfield Shares is to supply goods, equipment or other property directly to a nonprofit that has identified specific needs. To facilitate this type of donation, Northfield Shares maintains a wish list from area nonprofits.

  • The Community Action Center’s Food Shelf accepts donations on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesdays from noon to 7 p.m. Camping supplies are also greatly appreciated – sunscreen, insect repellent, and new or gently used sleeping bags and beach towels. Drop off donations at the Community Action Center, located at 1651 Jefferson Parkway, Northfield.
  • The Community Action Center’s Clothes Closet accepts clothing and small appliance donations Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Acceptable items can be dropped off at the back door of the Clothes Closet, located in the River Park Mall in downtown Northfield at 600 Water Street South.
  • HOPE Center is collecting used cell phones and accessories through Shelter Alliance, a program of GRC Wireless Recycling. Also on the wish list: gas cards, taxi vouchers, grocery cards, white / purple / blue / teal paper, purple ribbons, Kleenex, Lysol cleaning supplies and garbage bags. Items can be dropped off at the Hope Center office at 1003 7th Street Northwest in Faribault during business hours.
  • Prairie’s Edge Humane Society is accepting various pet necessities (beds, towels, blankets, kitty litter, rawhide chews, Moist & Meaty dog food, cat toys), cleaning supplies (bleach, paper towels, laundry detergent, dish soap, hand sanitizer, garbage bags) and other contributions. Donations can be dropped off at the organization’s new location at 680 Professional Drive in Northfield.
