Hiawathaland Transit is administered by Three Rivers Community Action, Inc. a non-profit corporation that works with community partners to address basic human needs of people in our service area; thereby improving the quality of life of the individual, family, and community.
The Community Driver Program is intended to provide individuals with accessible transportation that is suited to meet their specific needs. One-way, round-trip, and multi-stop rides are usually available; reservations are required.
Community drivers are those who volunteer to spend their personal time using their own personal vehicles to transport those person who are unable to utilize public transportation services. Community Drivers should be passionate about helping other and have a strong desire to serve those in need. Additionally, it is essential for Community Drivers to be responsible, energetic, and loyal to all individuals affiliated with the Community Driver Program.
Drivers will transport individuals to and from destinations such as medical appointments, shopping, entertainment, supportive services, volunteer work and/or recreational activities
