Northfield Shares Seeks Program & Administrative Manager

Position Summary

This position provides overall administrative responsibilities, program management, and communications support for Northfield Shares, consist with the direction provided by the Executive Director and Board of Directors.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Responsible for processing foundation’s financials including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant requests, gift and general data entry.
  • Serve as point person for investment fund management and fund holders.
  • Oversee and maintain software programs supporting the work of Northfield Shares.
  • Create and maintain reports for external review (audit, tax, accreditation).
  • Assist in the coordination of Board of Directors meetings.

Program Management

  • Assist in the successful planning and management of all Northfield Shares events, including its annual fundraising efforts.
  • Oversee goals and drive results from formalized committees and other ad-hoc committees or task­ forces as assigned.
  • Work with Grants Committee chair and Executive Director to ensure accurate and timely grant process.
  • Serve as primary contact for Volunteer HUB for individuals, organizations, and software support.
  • Identify potential partnerships with other organizations within the community and develop those partnerships as appropriate.
  • Attend various community events.


  • Assist in the creation and distribution of substantive content through the various communication channels including website, social media, newsletters, brochures, fundraising letters, invitations, press releases and other communications or marketing collateral produced.
  • Works with designated outside marketing vendors as needed or indicated.
  • Execute and monitor communication strategies.
  • Shepard marketing projects from inception to fully executed.
  • Track and report analytics on marketing and communications campaigns.

Position Requirements & Preferences

  • 2+ years related work experience.
  • Strong writing, computer, organizational and people skills
  • Creative and ability to think analytically
  • Experience with database use
  • Savvy on social media
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with Stellar/iPhi Core Enterprise software beneficial but not necessary
  • Undergraduate degree; preferred marketing, journalism/accounting, finance or related with a propensity to learn

Part-time Position

20-25 flexible hours per week
$20-23/hour (Depending Upon Qualifications)
Reports to Executive Director
